EMDR intensive therapy offers accelerated progress, deeper focus, enhanced integration, and convenience, making it a beneficial option for individuals seeking rapid and effective resolution of trauma and emotional issues.
This is a great approach for those who do not have time for ongoing weekly therapy. It is NOT more “intensive” than a regular EMDR session, but allows for concentrated sessions, fostering quicker resolution of trauma-related symptoms and improving overall psychological well-being in a shorter timeframe.
Key elements of the Intensive include:
- Exploring the neuroscience that informs stress responses, emotions, and trauma.
- Sharing and processing distressing memories and narratives.
- Understanding the complexities of emotional trauma and its impact on your sense of self
- Examining trauma through the lens of the physical, emotional, and spiritual realms.
- Uncovering the manifestations of denial that perpetuate problematic behaviors and reactions.
- Co-creating a vision for a future grounded in self-awareness and healing.

The unique Somatic and Attachment Focused (S.A.F.E.) EMDR therapeutic approach from PTI is a trauma-informed model that considers how trauma affects an individuals ability to regulate the nervous system and to connect with others. Deb Kennard, founder of PTI, created the SAFE approach to simplify attachment and regulation theory to make the EMDR process more effective.
The SAFE approach is informed by somatic therapies, mindfulness practices, attachment theory and neurobiological regulation models. It facilitates a safe and connected environment, which is critical for effective EMDR therapy.

This practice is based on the idea that the ear is a microsystem of the entire body, and stimulating certain points on the ear can have therapeutic effects on corresponding areas of the body. Ear seeds are a non-invasive, natural approach to promoting well-being and balance in the body.
